JPXシリーズは、ジョン･ペトルーシがアーニーボール･ミュージックマンのプレイヤーとなって10周年を記念して、製作されたアニバーサリー･モデルです。従来のJPモデルよりも、カッタウェイのデザインを変更するなど、より一層プレイアビリティを 追及したデザインとなっています。また、BFRシリーズの特長でもあるマホガニー･トーンブロ ックを仕込んだメイプル･トップ/アルダー･バックのボディ･マテリアルに加えて、ハーフ･チェン バード構造を取り入れることで、より豊かな鳴りとサスティーンを追及した仕様です。カラーは、JPXシリーズ専用のBarolo(バローロ)フィニッシュを採用しています。
