Short Scale StingRay Bassは、一般的なベースよりもフレットの間隔が短いショート・スケール（30インチ・スケール）を採用することで演奏性を高めています。そして小ぶりなこの筐体からは、アタックの効いた豪快なサウンドを出力します。ネオジム・マグネットを採用した高出力のパッシブ・ハムバッキング・ピックアップは、ショート・スケール・ベース用として特別に設計されており、特徴的かつ温かみのあるトーンを実現しました。エレクトロニクスには、パラレル／シングルコイル／シリーズ・モードを備えた3ウェイ・ロータリー・スイッチを採用。また、スティングレイ・スペシャルと同様に、モダン・クラシック・ブリッジをマウントし、22フレットを確保したステンレススチール製のフレットや、新開発となる、より細かいギア比を採用した軽量のペグを標準装備しています。

The sculpted neck joint provides uninhibited access to all 22 stainless steel frets atop roasted maple necks.
Enhanced body contours are rounded for more comfort in any playing position while retaining that revered, iconic StingRay sound.
The new and improved Short Scale StingRay electronics feature powerful neodymium magnets, bringing you more output and a wider range of sounds
The electronics package includes a 3-way rotary switch featuring parallel, true single-coil, and series modes. All three pickup selections’ audio signals can be augmented by a boost when engaging the push volume pot.
