ビンテージな電気回路を刷新し、スムーズなトレモロを搭載、さらに軽量なアルダー・ボディを採用しました。オーバーサイズなヘッドストックに4:2でペグを配置し、弦がストレートにセッティングできることによってチューニングの安定がはかれました。Cutlassはレトロな雰囲気を漂わせつもモダンな設計を取り入れて演奏性の向上が実現できました。
